Bosch 980cc EV 14L
While creating the new wire harness for the MaxxECU including injector harness I realized that my ID1000’s were 15+ years old!
They have seen quite a lot of use including E85 so I invested in a new set of latest tech Bosch 980cc EV14 ( 0280158040 / 0280 158 040 / Bosch -040) as the Maxx has a calibrated profile for them.
To make them fit the NC both an upper and lower adapter is needed to get the from the stock EV 14C 33,6mm to EV 14L 66.65mm.

They use the more common JPT / EV1 plug. Very happy to have a strong new harness with no connector adapters or other potential failure points. The stock harness is known to fail in this area.

Perfect fit with the stock dead end fuel rail. I did test the distribution of similar OEM fuel system on a MSM with 4 x EGT probes and distribution was OK

During initial tuning I was surprised that the VE was way off compared to the similar cc ID1000. Could be that ID1000 (which is/was rebranded Bosch) has changed over the years and that the profile in Maxx was off. Anyways, everything fuel and spark should now be taken care of and match profiles already present in the EMS.
