I have never removed an engine from a car before. I opted to lift it out with the transmission i place. I suspect the release bearing is toast as I have had some vibrations at downshifts after mounting the FM clutch and flywheel.

The process was pretty straight forward but a lot of work on the MSM since it has lots of extra stuff connected to the engine/trans compared to a NA.
The tilt device on the engine lift was very useful to get the engine out without dragging the trans trough the trans tunnel.
